General Business and Sales Experience - Worldwide Peter has a business degree and has considerable organizational experience – this includes holding senior positions in large organizations – Executive Director, Program Director, Financial Controller, and Senior Business Consultant, etc. He has also established and run his own specialist DMS/GIS consultancy and system integrator and a major ITC training centre in the Far East. Peter has been involved in a number of major business transformation programs and has studied business and organizational management at five different Universities including a technology based business incubator program for high tech start-ups. He has considerable experience in client facing roles and has been successful in solution and service sales and developing business via strategic partnering, and by using education as a means to develop sales opportunities as well as participating in more traditional pre-sales activities. Business Transformation Projects – Cyprus, Aus, UK Peter developed a comprehensive change management Program for the Cyprus Government Department of Lands and Surveys. This included site preparation, site acquisition, disaster and business continuity planning, education and training on new processes, communications Program, establishing 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Line support processes, business process improvement and re-design within the legal and financial branches (front and back-office) along with extensive re-engineering of the survey and mapping branch. Peter has also developed change management Programs for the Royal Navy, AAPT Cellular One (Australian Mobile Telco) as well as a number of UK local authorities – Bedfordshire (5), Liverpool City Council, Barnsley MBC. These being to accommodate new ways of working associated with the dramatic changes to the way Government services are now being delivered in the UK. Peter has also worked through WBS a UK specialist change management consultancy and has also undertaken organizational studies at a Universities in UK, US and Australia. Commercial Market Studies and Business Analysis – International Peter has undertaken business analysis and also commercial marketing related assignments internationally for large organizations and SMEs. He was responsible for identifying commercially viable ITC projects for SMEs in Qatar particularly in the tourism industry and for the Chamber of Commerce. He developed an improved addressing strategy for New Zealand SMEs for NZ Post. He assessed the market potential of an asset management system developed by Yorkshire Electricity, undertook a market study into the deployment of land informations systems worldwide for Unisys, helped BT and the Eastern Shires Purchasing Agency with marketing of the Citizone mediated service environment developed for Bedfordshire. He also conducted the launch Programs for Viideotex and the ‘One Per Desk’ PC in Australia for ICL(Fujitsu) & Telstra. As a senior business consultant for ICL(Fujitsu) he has undertaken business analysis in various organizations, e.g. Magistrates Courts, Egg Marketing Board, etc. As Videotext Manager he developed new on-line processes for Travel, Healthcare and Auto organizations and continues to develop online web based systems. He has personally analysed or overseen the analysis of complex end-to-end processes, documented as-is and to-be process designs for Government Service Level Improvement Programs, e.g. Revenue and Tax Benefits and Transactional e-Government Portals and back-end systems, Business Process Re-Engineering, X-Engineering of Services, and Re-Design of complex Land & Property processes, e.g. Land Titles, Valuations and Conveyancing, and the development of new online transactional processes for Postal Services, e.g. Post Code Finder and e-Government Portals. He has also analysed enterprise business processes with a view to improving business continuity plans and achieving significant productivity gains. |
