Telcom Projects – Australia, NZ and UK Peter was on the executive team for AAPT CellularOne in Australia as Head of ITC Programs. He directed and managed various B/OSS software developments and procurements including planning the launch phases of new +$500m Cdma networks (2.5G) in Australia (AAPT) and New Zealand (Telecom New Zealand). He also orchestrated and directed a major business transformation program to ‘re-launch’ the company embracing internal operations of its 200 seat call centres, retail distribution channels and back-office support systems. This was closely aligned to its new marketing theme and its sponsorship of Indy 300 Racing. Following Telecom NZ taking 100% control of the company he oversaw the development of the MVNO business model to cover curtailment of AAPT’s national network extension plans. He also oversaw the operational systems development resulting from MNP legislation. Peter has also undertaken various Telco assignments including the development of an asset management strategy for Thus, re-development of the Orange product development forum, product launches for Telstra, COE Migration and integration Program for Telecom NZ, and consulting to British Telecom on service level improvements and business transformation for their Government outsource clients. Most recently, he was Executive Director heading national ICT development programs for ict Qatar the Telecom Regulator in Qatar. Postal Services Peter led a small team to undertake a comprehensive business continuity study for New Zealand Post covering all divisions. He also developed a spatial strategy for Rural Post. As part of New Zealand Post's 'Future Post' Program he managed the tools and service Program for the introduction of new addressing standards across New Zealand.
