Naval Engineering Projects - UK

Managed the introduction of advanced management, maintenance and project management techniques from the Anglo/US Polaris Deterrent Program into the Navy’s surface fleet.  He developed and implemented the accompanying change management  Program on a fully operational trial fleet of four frigates.  As an electronics maintenance engineer and head of department he also project managed numerous maintenance and refit projects in the Navy.  He was also responsible for a project aimed at developing a standard query language and coding system that would unify NATO and Admiralty weapons electrical catalogues and avoid expensive downtime of units at sea.
 
Aviation Project – ME

Directed a major Program to modernise Iran’s national civil and military aviation facilities.  He reported to the national manager and had overall responsiblity for Program management, all consortium projects, customer liaison with consortium company management, contract and contract negotiation, hand-over and liaison with the UK and Iranian Government, Consortium Members and International Safety Agencies, e.g. ICAO. The modernization program covered the entire national inventory for civil aviation including AFTN, Air Traffic Control Desks, Runways, ILS, Communication Centres, Radar, VLF Mobile Communications, Electrical Supply, Spare Parts Inventory and Emergency Vehicles & Equipment, etc.
 
Emergency Services-NZ

Peter consulted to the New Zealand Fire Service with regard to their business continuity plans. He looked at the complete operations of the Fire Service and made detailed recommendations for business continuity in the event of all major threats including earthquake, malicious attack, critical systems failure etc.
