Modulo 4 International Limited

Peter set-up and ran his own specialist spatial (GIS) consultancy and systems integrator - Modulo 4 International with offices in Leeds and London. The company's expertise lay in the integration of geo-coded data, topological and topographial modelling, integrating applications involving workflow to geographic objects - land areas, property and network components, GIS and CAD presentation and integration of documents, videos and maps.

One of Peter's consultancy assignments was to develop a strategy for an integrated document and spatial repository for the UK Department of the Environment.

The company undertook numerous Land & Property related assignments for international clients worldwide, including advising the Russian Land Registry for the World Bank, advising the Governments of Swaziland and Mauritius for the UK Overseas Development Agency, developing the Botswana Land Information System BLIS, etc.

Modulo 4 International used its spatial expertise to
analysis, build and development of a generic plant and circuit hub for the electricity and water industries in the UK. This $150m included topological and topographical network representation, integrated applications, e.g. maintenance, workflow and GIS and document front-ends. Peter was the overall design authority for this development.

Peter consulted to numerous Governments, Utilities and IT Solution Providers in the UK, USA, Far East and Australasia. He was also Program Director for the analysis, design and build of the Cyprus Integrated Land Information System CILIS, a Government Program which at its peak had over 150 development staff and cost in excess of US $200m and was to include a major change management component. The system went live in 1999. For a full description of this and other similar projects click the links below:
